Terms & Conditions

SchemaFix looks at the structured data on Shopify storefronts and tells you what's wrong with it. These Terms cover how you use it. By signing up or using the Service, you're agreeing to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What SchemaFix does (and doesn't do)

We fetch the public HTML at the URLs you give us, pull out the structured data, and ask a large language model to flag issues and suggest fixes — including Shopify Liquid snippets. The output is generated by software. It is not professional SEO, legal, or development advice, and it is not a substitute for a developer reviewing the change.

2. You must test every change before publishing

You — or a developer working for you — are responsible for reviewing and testing every recommended change in a development, preview, or staging theme before publishing it to a live storefront. Schema changes interact with installed apps, custom Liquid, and theme overrides in ways we can't predict from the outside. Don't paste a snippet from SchemaFix straight into a published theme without verifying it on a copy first.

3. No warranty, no liability for outcomes

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent allowed by law, SchemaFix and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost revenue, lost rankings, theme breakage, downtime, or reputational harm — whether caused by following a recommendation, by a model hallucination, or by any other use of the Service.

Where liability can't be excluded by law, our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

4. Your account & acceptable use

You need a valid email and a password of at least 8 characters. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Please don't: (a) audit sites you don't own and aren't authorised to audit; (b) work around rate limits, paywalls, or per-domain pass restrictions; (c) reverse-engineer or rebuild the Service; (d) use it to break the law or someone else's rights; or (e) submit malware.

5. Pricing, payment & refunds

Free homepage audits are open to anyone. Paid Audit Passes unlock per-site features (re-validation, more page types, dismissals, history, exports) for 90 days per site. Extension credits add another 90 days to an existing pass. Bulk packs (5-pack and 10-pack) are sold at the discounts shown on the upgrade page; unredeemed credits expire 12 months after purchase.

Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details. Purchases are final and non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. If you think you were charged in error, email us within 14 days (see section 13) and we'll review it in good faith.

6. Suspension & termination

We can suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, abuses the Service, or where we're required to by law. You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. Sections 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 survive termination.

7. Your content and ours

SchemaFix — its name, logo, software, and knowledge base — belongs to its operators. The URLs and HTML you submit through the Service are public-web information; you confirm you have the right to ask us to fetch and analyse them. The recommendations and snippets we generate for you are yours to use on your own store.

8. Third parties we rely on

The Service runs on third-party providers — our hosting and database provider, Stripe (payments), OpenAI (model inference), and a transactional email provider. Your data passes through these providers under their own terms. See the Privacy Policy for the current list.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify SchemaFix and its operators against any claim arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, your breach of the law or someone else's rights, or content you submitted.

10. Changes

We may update the Service or these Terms. Material changes are reflected in a new TERMS_VERSION and Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of SchemaFix is established (to be specified by the operator), and any dispute will be resolved in those courts.

12. Severability & entire agreement

If a clause here is held invalid, the rest still applies. These Terms together with the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and SchemaFix about the Service.
